Player, Parent and Coach Guidelines

To make the Club experience more pleasant and rewarding for all...

Some general guidelines to ensure an enjoyable and safe club volleyball season:

  • We must have a designated parent who remains at the door of each facility during practice times.  It is our responsibility as a club to make sure that this supervision is present, otherwise we are forced to pay a school custodian to perform this task.

  • Please make sure that after each practice session all garbage is removed from the gym, including all paper, tape, drink containers, etc. Each group should do this, regardless whether another group is coming in at a later time.

  • Please make sure that every piece of equipment is put away properly.

  • Check the hallways, behind bleachers and doors, etc. to ensure that EVERY volleyball is accounted for. Every ball that is lost must be replaced, at a cost of approximately $40. That begins to add up quickly, so please take care that all balls are retrieved.

  • Because practices have been planned one after another, players waiting for their practice time to begin should remain in the hallway and not go on to the court while another team is practicing. It is very distracting and potentially dangerous, so please be considerate of those practicing before you.

  • The Eden Volleyball Club enjoys a very high reputation throughout the country. Do not let your behavior tarnish that reputation. DO NOT use foul language while practicing or at tournaments. DO NOT engage in any action that would cause embarrassment to you, your parents, or this club.

  • If you are unable to attend practice, please let your coach know BEFORE your practice. Email is the best way to stay in contact. Please do not call any coach past 9 pm.

  • Please pay dues on time. This club is not a money-making venture. Your dues go toward training expenses and tournament fees.

  • Coaches: Please make sure that if your team is the last team practicing that all equipment is put away, all trash is removed, and all lights are turned off. When you leave, please make sure that doors are closed and secured. Also, please ensure that all your players have rides home and have been picked up before departing. There are pay phones at the entrances of our training sites.

  •  We look forward to another fun and successful season!!! Thanks for playing, coaching and helping!!!
